My Story

I am a licensed Esthetician whose passion for skin care started when I was about 11. As we go through hormonal changes, so does our skin. That began my skin journey, through acne, eczema, perioral dermatitis, and more. I became obsessed with learning about the skin, how it works, what triggers it, and what heals it. 

I was getting answers that didn't make sense to me, from doctors saying it's due to having a lip piercing, to just throwing anti-biotics and Retin A on it. If you have acne and have gone to the dermatologist, I'm sure you've been prescribed both. Not to say they don't work for some, however they never worked for me. 

I was on a mission to clear my skin. I started narrowing down what ingredients my skin responded to and cleaned up my diet from different foods. When my skin cleared up without the help of prescriptions, I decided to take the jump that I had been too scared to do for over a decade.

I attended Paul Mitchell of Sacramento. After years of researching, and helping my skin and others, I decided to branch out on my own. I opened Overt Beauty Bar. 

I've continued my education with 1,000's of hours of continued education. I am a certified Paramedical Esthetician, and I have completed three different Acne Specialist Trainings. Face Reality, Acne Detective. and Wisdom Inspired Skin Health (Wish).

As an Esthetician, I believe through a healthy lifestyle, diet, and an effective skin care regimen you can have clear, glowing skin.. At Overt Beauty Bar we focus on getting clearer, healthier, vibrant, and more youthful-looking skin with regular facial treatments and using proper home care products.
